Introduction To The Music Video Project

The next big project I will be working on is a Music Video.  I am very excited for this project.  I have seen many music videos in the past and have always admired them.  I feel like I will have a lot of ideas because of that.

In my previous project, I planned, filmed, and edited a commercial for Aleve Liquid Gel Capsules.  I learned many techniques and general ways to make my product better and easier to create during my last project.  For example,  I learned how to edit and it was my first experience acting and filming with a camera for an official assignment.  The techniques I started to develop in my first project will undoubtedly help me greatly in the creation of my music video.

I worked alone on my last project, but I did get some help from my teacher and classmates.  For this project, I am going to work with someone.  The person  am going to work with is Nicholas Arnold.  He is a classmate of mine and friend.  He helped me learn how to edit my last project.  I have known him since my freshman year and I am confident we can work well together.  I think because we are friends, we will be able to communicate effectively.  I am excited to work with him because he is very good at editing.  I also know he will be able to come up with great ideas.  I saw his commercial project and he did a very good job on it.  I hope he will be able to transfer his skills to our music video.

The song we have chosen to do is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day.  This song has a sad tone and is very catchy.  We chose it because we think a sad music video would be interesting and fun to make compared to a happy one because it will test our production skills and acting skills.  We are both very familiar with the song and have found a good 60 second clip we can use.
