Starting The Final Task
My name is Grant Cipollone. The school I attend is Fort. Lauderdale High School in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I like to watch tv and movies on my free time, which is one reason I was interested in taking AICE Media Studies. Before starting the class, I knew I would be tasked with the making of a film opening. However, it feels as if the other projects passed so fast and this final task has come sooner than expected. In reality, it has been several months since the start of the class and the projects have seemed to fly by because of how much fun they were.
My past projects were the making of a commercial and part of a music video. For both of the projects, I was able to get help from my family for acting. This time, however, they won't be able to help me, so I will have to think of ways to manage the options that are available to make a good film opening. However, while I can't work with my family, I can work with my classmate; Nicholas Arnold. Nicholas and I worked well together on the music video project. On that project, I was more than happ
y to act but preferred not to edit while he preferred to edit. So, we worked really well together in that way. To add to that, Nicholas is very good at editing while I am better at editing and physically filming. Also, we have known each other for some time so communicating with each other outside of school is normal and easy. On the last project, this helped us come together more often and brainstorm ideas, which made the whole project better as a whole. It enabled us to communicate with each other and make suggestions during every part of the process. For example, during the days I was acting, Nicholas could easily make suggestions for the order and length of the scenes. Similarly, I could watch Nicholas as he edited the video and make suggestions and critics as he went. In this way, we compliment each other's specialties well and enhance them. I know that by working together, Nicholas and I will be able to make a very satisfactory film opening.
